How to Get Over the Shame of Realizing You're Gay Dating

It seems inevitable that most gays men and women are struggling with the emotional pain and anguish to accept as gay. It's incredibly sad for me to see that I get from family and friends that homosexuality is just part of what we are. No one should be ashamed of being gay. Often, it's the shame that prevents gays and lesbians to come to terms with who they are.

Many members of the gay community had to grow up in a world in which they have been marginalized by society and culture.

All because they were attracted to people of the same sex. Their was no institution of marriage sanctioned by our government. Face prejudice, discrimination and unequal rights of other members of society, it is not surprising that the experience of gay shame.

So maybe you're at the stage where you are just asking, "Am I gay?"

Of course, the reality is that there is only one person who can answer that question. Only the individual can accurately answer this question. In other words, you are only gay if that is what is identified. Self-identification as a homosexual is the process of reaching an agreement that is fully "I'm gay." It is totally love and accept yourself for who you are and what you are. He abandoned the denials in the process of being gay. It's being able to look at another person of the same sex and if you find interesting, allowing fully internalize the feeling and just enjoy the view. The most important thing is being able to look in the mirror and say I'm gay and there's nothing wrong with me. In other words, I am who I am, and that's fine.

Would you be ashamed that you are left-handed, of course not. So why should you be ashamed of being gay. Being gay or lesbian is just a part of who you are. Unfortunately, I think too often that is what you focus on. Not only is the approach that is given, but others will simply focus because your gay. OK, if you're gay, so what! Everything is there for you. Little waste as you may have heard growing up, being gay is perfectly normal. Do not throw your life you deny the same love and romance that their heterosexual counterparts enjoy.
